PC Muñoz is a songwriter, producer, and drummer based in San Francisco. His diverse body of work includes collaborations across multiple mediums, from Grammy-nominated contemporary classical music to public art installations and modern dance/multimedia productions. A frequent and enthusiastic collaborator, PC has recorded with rock legend Jackson Browne, dream-pop poet/chanteuse Ingrid Chavez, longtime Kronos Quartet cellist Joan Jeanrenaud, Emmy-winning virtuoso Van-Anh Vo, Oakland hip-hop artist Kev Choice, and countless other musicians and recording artists across a wide range of genres.
PC's unique approach to recorded cover songs was first heard on the acclaimed 2005 "High School Reunion" CD (from American Laundromat Records) which featured indie artists (Dresden Dolls/Amanda Palmer, Kristin Hersh, etc.) covering songs from the 80s films of John Hughes. PC covered Flesh for Lulu's "I Go Crazy" for that outing, and later contributed an electro-funk version of "I Bleed" (with Oakland artist FEMI) to American Laundromat's Pixies tribute album, "Dig for Fire."
"Sign 'o' the Times" continues PC's tradition of radically inventive covers, and features Dr. Fink of Prince and the Revolution on keyboards, as well as longtime collaborators Marc Weibel (guitar) and Stephen Smith (bass).
